Sri  lanka  has a climate  and varied  elevation that allows  for the production of both  camellia sinessisvar.sinessis,with the assamica varietal  holding  the majority of production .Tea production  is one of the main sources of foreign  exchange  for sri  lanka and accounts for 2%of GDP, contributing over uss1.5billion in 2013 to the  economy of Srilnka .




      The sri  lanka  Tea board is the legal priprietor of the lion logo of ceylon  tea.The logo has been registered  as a trademark in many  Countries.In order   to appear the lion logo on tea pact , it must meet for criteria .



Sustainbility standards  and Certification  there are a number  of organization

Droughts, floods, landslides, hurricanes, wildfires, tsunamis.  The incidence of natural disasters is high today. Climate change causes natural disasters.
